1.1 The Chair welcomed Members. Apologies were

2.1 The Committee heard evidence from Police representatives.
2.2 Police representatives agreed to provide a
note on the current landscape, as they understand it in relation to
the development and work of multi-agency safeguarding hubs.
3.1 The Committee heard evidence from BASW Cymru.
3.2 The Director agreed to provide a note on the following:
· Evidence about the escalation from activity below the current threshold for the use of the defence of reasonable punishment to activity considered to be assault
·
BASW Cymru’s involvement to date with the development of the
Bill
4.1 The papers were noted.
4.2 The Chair thanked the Welsh Youth Parliament for its contribution to the Committee’s scrutiny of the Children (Abolition of Defence of Reasonable Punishment) (Wales) Bill.
5.1 The motion was agreed.
6.1 The Committee considered the evidence they had heard during sessions.
